In the year 1990, a group of nuns began the effort to create an organized women’s monastery, with the restoration of the ruins and the creation of new buildings, in order to acquire, within a minimum of time, its current form.

Today there are eight (8) Nuns, who are engaged in manual labor (gold embroidery, iconography, etc.).

There is currently no overnight accommodation for organized groups. In the chapel of Panagia Myrtidiotissa, there is the miraculous icon of Panagia.

It celebrates on July 20 in memory of Prof. Ilias (great Feast) and on September 24 in memory of Panagia Myrtidiotissa.
