Congratulations!
A short but impressive gorge created by the Aggitis river as it enters the prefecture of Serres from the east.
Aggitis originates in the west of Drama between the Menoiki mountain and the foothills of Falakros. It then follows a southern course until it enters the prefecture of Serres, near the village of Symboli. Here rises the limestone hill of Petrotos which looks like a mountain link that joins Menoikio in the north with Pangaeo in the south in an area where large plains spread out.
At this point, the waters of Xiropotamos, which is the most important drainage channel coming from the tenages of Philippi, also contribute to Aggitis. This is exactly where the Aggitis gorge begins, which runs for 6 kilometers in a direction from east to west.
